Dr. Zengyue Wang received his bachelors degree in 2015 and his doctorate in 2021 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he has focused on the research and development of safe energy storage battery materials and systems for over 10 years. In 2020, he founded Luquos Energy Limited in Hong Kong, dedicated to the commercialization of safe, low-cost, and eco-friendly sulfur-based flow battery energy storage technology. The company has completed pilot-scale production of key materials and systems, deployed multiple demonstration projects in Hong Kong and Mainland China. It has been selected as a supported enterprise under the Hong Kong governments RAISe+ scheme, and has won honors such as Top 3 globally in the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) “Sulfur Innovation Challenge” and among the Top 8 finalists in the “Tencent CarbonX Long-Duration Energy Storage Competition”.
