A serial entrepreneur, Brian has been founding and investing in transformative companies since 2012. At the age of 18, he launched Fresh, a frontier tech venture studio focused on building companies for a better future, and went on to lead seed-stage investments in companies such as FiscalNote (NYSE: NOTE), Eaze, Clever Leaves (Nasdaq: CLVR), Eight Sleep, Akido Labs, and generating over $5 billion in portfolio value from seed stage.Brian studied at Princeton University, where he conducted thesis research on next-generation energy and water infrastructure. In 2021, he founded Aquaria, a company reimagining water access through distributed atmospheric water generation systems. To date, Aquaria has raised over $112 million from leading investors including Softbank with Taizo Son, Soma Capital, Katapult Norway, Bow Capital, and former US House Majority Leader and Presidential Candidate Dick Gephardt.For its impact and innovation, Aquaria was named one of Fast Company’s World Changing Companies of 2023 and selected among TIME’s Best Inventions of 2024. Brian himself was partof Forbes North America 30 under 30 in 2024.As a first-generation Chinese American, Brian’s family have deep roots in China and continue to build across both sides of the ocean. Brian’s family legacy of resilience and purpose has shaped his passion for building technologies that create lasting, positive change in the world. Brian is a former division 1 athlete, playing football for Princeton University.
