Dr. Yufeng Wan is a Partner, the Head of Decarbonization and Energy Transition Investment, and one of the founding members of Templewater. He established the firm’s new energy technology investment strategy and the dedicated investment team, and is responsible for the overall business development of the strategy. He has led the team to process over 1,000 deals and has dedicated significant time to evaluating and supporting Hong Kong-based start-ups and technology companies, ensuring they are well-positioned for future growth and success. He has played pivotal roles in bringing our portfolio companies to Hong Kong, such as Wisdom Motor, Marvel-Tech and a Chinese battery material technology company that will contribute to Hong Kong’s R&D and advanced manufacturing ecosystems. Dr. Wan was also involved in the publishing of the Hydrogen Strategy of Hong Kong white paper by Civic Exchange, a comprehensive guide to maximizing the use of hydrogen as a fuel for the transport sector.Prior to joining Templewater, Dr. Wan had 16 years of experience across various industries, including 12 years in banking and 4 years in manufacturing. Dr. Wan holds a Doctoral degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Engineering in Automatic Control from the South China University of Technology.
