Professor Wu is the Associate Dean (Health Systems) of CUHK Medicine. He is responsible for developing a collaborative ecosystem of private healthcare, biomedical tech industry, Greater Bay Area and beyond. He also serves as the Director of Strategic Development of CUHK Clinical Trial Centre.Professor Wu is contributing as advisor and investor of biomedical technology business and investment funds. He serves as independent non-executive director of biomedical technology companies listed in Nasdaq and Hong Kong Exchange. He is a vice-chairman of Medical Engineering & Innovation Council of Hong Kong Federation of Industries (HKFI) and serves as an admission panel member of IGNITE incubation programme of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP). He also serves as council member of Shaw Prize Foundation, board member and chairman of Clinical Governance Committee of Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong, and member of Consultative Committee on Guangdong-Hong Kong Co-operation (Guangzhou Nansha).Professor Wu obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree, a Master of Executive Business Administration degree, and Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery degree from CUHK. He is an international leader of digestive diseases. He is currently the President of Asian Pacific Digestive Week Federation and Past President of Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology. He is an eminent medical educator honoured with 8 education awards. He founded Asia’s first “Global Physician-Leadership Stream” (GPS) in CUHK, which has been the top undergraduate programme in Hong Kong for more than 10 years.
