Prof. Andy Chun is a pioneer in AI with a career spanning decades, beginning with Hong Kong’s first commercial AI deployment in the 1980s. He has developed AI solutions for various sectors, improving social services and economic prosperity. Prof. Chun teaches at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong, promoting innovation and technology adoption. He has led initiatives at Prudential plc, been CEO of AI start-ups, and served as University CIO.

An advisor to the HKSAR Government, he founded the AI Specialist Group for the Hong Kong Computer Society. Prof. Chun, a Distinguished Fellow of the Hong Kong Computer Society, holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
